Day of Surgery Checklist

• Do not eat or drink anything after midnight prior to surgery.
• Arrive at least one hour prior to your surgery.
• You must have a responsible adult drive you home after surgery.
• You must have a responsible adult present to care for you for 24 hours after surgery.
• You may not leave alone or drive yourself home.
• Wear comfortable, easy-to-change clothing. Slip-on shoes and loose-fitting shirts that button or zip up the front, and loose sweatpants or slacks work best.
• Leave your money, jewelry, and other valuables at home.
• Bring your insurance card with you.
