Dr. N. Birrell Smith obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine. His undergraduate degree in chemistry was completed at San Diego State University, and he attended Oregon State University for graduate studies in biochemistry.

He served his internship in general surgery at St. Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City and residency in orthopaedic surgery at University of Missouri, Kansas City’s Truman Medical Center.

Dr. Smith is currently in private practice in Templeton, California.
