Dr. Robert M. Hullander obtained his Doctor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland, in 1985. He also attended Duke University, where he received an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering.

Dr. Hullander served as a Diving Medical Officer in the U.S. Navy prior to completing an internship in surgery at Portsmouth Naval Hospital and his residency in anesthesiology and pain medicine at the Naval Hospital in San Diego. Since completing his specialty training, he has been active in both clinical and research activities.

Dr. Hullander is currently the Medical Director of Pacific Pain Physicians and a partner in Anesthesia Associates of Santa Barbara.
